How to Beat Sobek in Assassin’s Creed Origins

Assassin’s Creed Origins has players sneaking their way through the ancient Egypt empire as a Medjay named Bayek. You won’t always be lurking in the shadows, however, as you’ll be facing against some powerful foes who will stand in your way. One particular enemy you’ll have to face is an ancient Egyptian god named Sobek. That being said, here are some tips on how you can beat him.

Before even attempting to even set foot in his trial, make sure that you’re level 40 to avoid getting killed in one hit. Also, make sure to prepare any bows, such as the Light Bow or Legendary Warrior Bow since it will be a ranged fight for the most part. But don’t forget to bring some quick and powerful melee weapons with you, such as a Sickle Sword. Weapon traits such as Precision, Critical Hit Damage, and Health off Hit will also be incredibly useful throughout the fight. Finally, upgrading skills such as Master Warrior/Hunter, Overpower, Extend Combo, and Chain Throw will also help you defeat Sobek.

With the preparations out of the way, you’re finally ready to fight this Assassin’s Creed Origins boss. As the trial starts, make sure you keep moving to avoid getting hit by the god’s attacks. Sobek will start off by throwing debris and erupting the earth under your feet, so his attacks are pretty easy to dodge. Look for a bright sphere in the middle of your chest and begin shooting at it with your bow. If you’re low on ammo, grab some of the sparkling loot that drops during the fight.

Once his health diminishes by about 50, he’ll call on five minions that you can easily dispose of with your sword. Once they’re dead, Sobek will still use the same old attacks, but he’ll pick up the pace. Just make sure to keep running and shooting the sphere on his chest. Once his minions return, the god will pressure you with a new attack. The ground will start glowing red, forcing you to block an ambush of arrows.

Once you kill his minions, you can finally focus on killing Sobek. He’ll put up a good fight, switching between both ground pounds and debris at a considerably fast pace. But as long as you keep whittling down his health, you’ll win this Assassin’s Creed Origins fight in no time.

Following these tips should help you beat Sobek. For more tips and tricks on Assassin’s Creed Origins, make sure to search for Twinfinite.
