Night Dive Studios’ Xbox One remasters of Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil are up for grabs on the console right now, just in case you needed a little nostalgia to fuel your weekend. They’re up for grabs separately in case you only really want to fire up one (or both), and the updated versions look like a lot of fun.
The remasters of the Nintendo 64-era titles run $20 apiece, which is a bit pricey, but they do feature enhanced graphics, smoother frame rates, and a blast from the past that doesn’t require you to dig out your old system, dust it off, and find your old cartridges.
Currently, the games aren’t sold as a bundle, so you’ll be looking at $40 for both, unless there’s some sort of sale for the action-packed dinosaur hunting games in the future, which there very well may be. Turok is a beloved series by many, especially since the more modern remake that released back on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 didn’t exactly touch anyone in any special way.
If you’re interested, you can also grab the remasters on PC, just in case you’d rather use a mouse and keyboard to go after all your prey. After all, it’ll certainly strengthen you as a predator if that’s the path you choose to go down.
