Greninja, Super Smash Bros

It’s no surprise that Greninja made it to Super Smash Bros. – the ‘mon took the top spot in a major Japanese poll, after all. Who wouldn’t want a badass ninja frog on their Pokemon team? As a Super Smash Bros. character, Greninja started out as a pretty balanced fighter before slowly getting nerfed to the point where it became a meme. Still, the ‘mon still seems to be a pretty decent pick and is probably still a popular fighter for the Pokemon fans.

With a new Smash game on the way, the developers might shuffle the Pokemon roster again to bring in some new fighters to the mix. While Greninja is still adored by many fans, Decidueye has been slowly stealing the spotlight since its debut in Sun and Moon. In fact, the owl Pokemon has even scored a slot as a playable fighter in Pokken. ‘Mons like Pikachu and Jigglypuff have been staple fighters in Smash, but newcomers like Greninja won’t always get to keep their place as a playable character.
