Clear some space on your hard drive, Kingdom Come: Deliverance has a 23 gigabyte day-one patch. This patch actually doubles the install-size of the game, bringing the size of the full game to 46 GB. The patch does much more than move the game to its 1.01 version, it also makes sweeping improvements to gameplay, including improvements to in-game events, combat, and improved dialogue animations (Rest In Peace Mass Effect).
Info on this day-one patch come courtesy of street dates being broken in advance of the games release in countries like the United Arab Emirates, so sites like Gadget 360 are getting their hands on exported PS4 coies of the game pre-release. Because this isn’t coming from the developers of the game, its unclear whether this is only going to be a part of the PS4 release, but it will likely be present in the XBox One and PC releases as well.
The full patch notes are as follows:
- Addition of multiple new events to the open world.
- Massive improvement in dialogue animations.
- Gaining money and experience is rebalanced.
- General combat improvements.
- Improved NPC reaction time.
- Sound propogation time.
- Archery is now possible in stealth mode.
- Improved Persuasion UI.
- Plus numerous other bug fixes and improvements.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a role-playing game that takes the medieval lifestyle to the extreme, placing players in the historical Holy Roman Empire in Bohemia. The game tells a tale of romance with knights and kings that many are familiar with, but puts a historical and realistic twist to immerse players in a true medieval tale. The game features a direction-based combat system PC gamers who’ve played Mount & Blade would be very familiar with, while putting an emphasis on realistic swordfighting techniques.
