Square Enix and publisher Forever Entertainment have announced that Fear Effect Sedna will release on March 6 for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. The title will run 19.99 / €19.99 / £15.99 respectively. A new trailer was also release for the game, which you can see down below.
Fear Effect Sedna is a new sequel in the series, and it’s co-written by the writer of the original as well. Developed by Sushee the game takes Hana, Rain, Glas, Deke, and newcomer Axel into the world of Inuit mythology. Unlike the original game, Sedna is a tactical strategy game with a third-person isometric point of view. It’ll combine elements of stealth, action, and puzzle solving while also weaving in animated cutscenes that stick to the Fear Effect style. Here’s a brief overview of the game’s key features, via Forever Entertainment.
The return of the original Fear Effect’s much loved cast of characters
Isometric viewpoint to enable players to interact with multiple characters at the same time
Gameplay that mixes real-time action, tactical play, stealth, and puzzles
The adrenaline-based “Fear Effect” gameplay mechanic that impacts on both attack and defence
Animated stylistic cutscenes, stunning environments, and classic death cutscenes
A mature and exciting story that follows mercenaries uncovering the mysteries of Inuit mythology
In addition to Fear Effect Sedna Sushee is also working on Fear Effect Reivented, a full remake of the original game coming to PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
