Monster Hunter: World
Easiest Xbox One Achievements of January 2018
Monster Hunter: World has been dominating players’ time ever since it released at the end of January. Whether you’re taking on towering monsters with friends, or just grinding away on your lonesome for that fresh set of gear, there’s always something you should (or could) be working towards. This is a trend that continues in the game’s achievement list, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s difficult.
It’s just a very time-consuming achievement list, namely because of the Giant Crown Collector and Giant Crown Master achievements. Though the descriptions say players must obtain a single gold giant crown for ’10 or more’ or ‘almost every monster in your hunting log,’ you actually need one for every monster in the game. The problem here, however, is the fact that getting these crowns is completely random, as whether you get one or not depends on whether you fight a monster that’s roughly 20-25% bigger or smaller than its normal version. Simple, right? Except this is all part of Monster Hunter: World’s RNG, and the odds aren’t in your favor, so good luck!
Sure, you’ll make progress towards these as you help your friends and other hunters take on monsters, or through the main quest itself, but don’t be surprised if it takes you hundreds of hours (if not more) to get all 1000 Gamerscore. It’s not a difficult game for achievements per se, but don’t expect to have this done in a week.
