REASONS TO BE EXCITED FOR METAL GEAR SURVIVE

The impressive engine that Konami built from the ground-up for Metal Gear Solid V, the Fox engine, is back in Metal Gear Survive. Not only does Survive contain the graphical fidelity that was so impressive in the Phantom Pain but most of the actions are still the same as well. You can still go prone, roll away in the face of danger, and dive into the dirt face-first. Speaking solely from a graphical standpoint, Metal Gear Survive is a very pretty game even with all of its multiplayer bells and whistles.

The Fox engine is a big part of what made The Phantom Pain as spectacular as it was – the controls felt amazing, the shooting was solid, and the open-ness of it all made it the biggest entry in the franchise thus far. Metal Gear Survive is trying to take everything that worked with The Phantom Pain and do a 180 with it. Bringing zombies into the mix with the excellent controls and graphical fidelity that the Fox engine has to offer has us pretty excited for what Konami has cooked up, even without Hideo Kojima behind behind the wheel.
