REASONS TO BE EXCITED FOR METAL GEAR SURVIVE

Hear us out Metal Gear Survive naysayers! We know that Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind the Metal Gear Solid series is no longer at Konami, and will probably never be back, however, Metal Gear Survive doesn’t look as bad as you think it does. Sure, it has the Metal Gear name just for namesake and I.P. awareness, but looking at the game through rose-tinted glasses, you’ll find that it looks like a surprisingly silly, third-person survival game that provides a lot of fun when played cooperatively with friends.

Setting up traps, completing various objectives, and lifting up zombies with balloons (fultoning) to send them back to Mother Base are just a few of the things that you’ll be doing with friends in Metal Gear Survive. The zombie-like enemies known as ‘creatures’ are just asking to be shot down and eliminated, and it’s up to you and your partners to find new and exciting ways to take them out without blowing each other to pieces, which can happen a lot in Metal Gear Survive since friendly fire is a thing.

It seems that some of the missions will be nearly impossible without the help of friends. Metal Gear Survive really pushes its cooperative aspect, so if you’re a person who tends to play games alone, you might have a bit of trouble tackling missions solo, but if you’re a person who mostly opts in to multiplayer experiences, then Metal Gear Survive’s multiplayer-centric gameplay should be something to look forward to.
