Chances are that if you’re a fan of Dragon Ball Z, you’re probably itching to play the upcoming Dragon Ball FighterZ when it comes out later this month on Jan. 26. Luckily, a free beta will be available for everyone with a Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus subscription days earlier on Jan. 14, allowing you and your friends the privilege to decide which fighters you’ll main well before the title officially hits retailers.

The beta will begin for everyone on Jan. 14 at 12:00 AM PST, though eager fans who have the game pre-ordered on either the PS4 or Xbox One’s digital marketplace will be able to participate a full day early on Jan. 13.

In order to download the software and finally begin doling out all those Kamehamehas, you’ll need to make your way over to the Xbox One or PS4’s online store either via each respective console or through an online browser. Search for Dragon Ball FighterZ in the appropriate field to have the title’s store page come up. Go to it and find the option to download the beta of the game.

With your console of choice downloading the software, you should be able to access it shortly. Select the beta via your PS4 or Xbox One’s menu to begin. You’ll have access to a selection of 11 fighters and a few offline modes, all of which can be found in detail right here.

That’s all you need to know to get playing the Dragon Ball FighterZ beta on Xbox One and PS4. For more on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
