Destiny 2’s “The Dawning” holiday event begins today, Dec. 19, and brings holiday decorations to the Tower and the Farm for the next three weeks. In addition to snowball fights and seasonal gear, players can also grab the Dawning Gift Schematic for a small quest of gift giving.

The Dawning Gift Schematic can be picked up from the glowing pile of presents next to Ikora Rey, located on the left side if looking at the Tower’s map. A new schematic can be completed every day during the event, so long as you complete the previous one. The schematic quest can be viewed from the Ghost inventory space.

The quest gives you a few objectives to complete, and then all you need to do is hand it into the appropriate character to receive a gift in return. For example, the Zavala quest asks players to defeat 50 Red Legion enemies and collect 10 Phaseglass from Io.

The schematic will change into another object, a Ghaul stress toy in Zavala’s case, after the objectives are completed. Handing it in gives A Gift in Return engram containing new The Dawning-specific items, such as sparrows and shaders.

That is how to get the Dawning gift schematic and what it does during Destiny 2’s The Dawning event. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more coverage and our extensive Destiny 2 wiki.
