Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp’s New Year’s Event Helps Ring in 2018 Right

The holiday cheer is still going around in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp’s updates keep coming, with the game’s latest New Year’s event that just started today. While you’re hustling and bustling around your campground to make it the best it can be, you’ll have the opportunity to earn Countdown Charms so you can collect New Year’s-themed furniture and other items. ’Tis the season, and your animal friends want to give you lots of cool stuff.

Countdown Charms can be earned by completing requests from other animals, and if you get enough during the event you can pick up fun items like the Flowery Kotatsu, Fancy Kadomatsu, and the Kadomatsu Screen. There’s also the Kimono, Kimono Sandals, and Blue Haori you can bring home for your character to deck them out in their New Year’s best. In case you’re wondering, these are all based on Japanese culture and you can dress in some of the more traditional garb from the country so your character can feel festive.

You can get started earning Countdown Charms now, but the event will go on all the way through Jan. 11, 2018. That gives you lots of time to celebrate the new and shiny 2018 that’s upon us. Hopefully you’ve been savoring the last bits of the year before we ring in the new one over the past few days, too.
