Is Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Coming to Nintendo 3DS?

Recommended Videos

With the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the Nintendo Switch later this week, some fans may be going through the first game on the Wii or on the Nintendo New 3DS to get back into the swing of things. While the Wii has had its day, the Nintendo 3DS is still hanging on in there. As such, many players may be wondering if Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is coming to the Nintendo 3DS.

First off, let’s rule out the possibility of the game coming to all Nintendo 3DS models. If its predecessor is anything to go by Xenoblade Chronicles 2 simply won’t run on the normal 3DS.

Well, what about the New 3DS? Y’know, the one with the tiny thumbstick and a bit of extra horsepower under the hood. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on this more powerful system, either. No official word has come as of yet from Monolith Soft or Nintendo, but with the game out in just a few days time, you can bet your bottom dollar there won’t be a New 3DS version alongside the Switch release come Friday.

If either Monolith Soft or Nintendo do happen to make an announcement that the title is coming to the New 3DS, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
