How to Get a Lucky Egg & What it Does in Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon

Recommended Videos

The Lucky Egg is an incredibly useful item to have at your disposal in Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. Just as it did in last year’s titles, any Pokemon holding this item will gain double experience, allowing you to dramatically cut down those hours of grinding. Here’s what you need to do to get a Lucky Egg in Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.

First of all, you’ll actually need to beat the entire game first. Once the credits have rolled on Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon, you’ll then be able to load your game back up. Once you’re back in control of your character, you’ll want to head to Professor Kukui’s lab, which can be found in the south area of Melemele Island. Speak to the Professor, and if you’ve caught 50 or more Pokemon with them recorded in your Pokedex, he’ll reward you with a Lucky Egg.

There’s no other surefire way to get a Lucky Egg in Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, so if you’re after one, you better get catching all those ‘mon. For more on the two Alola adventures, be sure to check back with Twinfinite.
