(WEEKS THREE & FOUR: OCT. 15-31)

The intensity of game releases slows a little into the third and fourth weeks, but there’s still plenty to look forward to. If you’re a PSVR owner then you can take advantage of the Skyrim VR experience, which is much more than just a tack-on piece of additional content. It is, in fact, the game in its entirety, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the massive open world of this Elder Scrolls epic.

The rest of the month is dominated by additional content for some well-known IPs. Assassin’s Creed Origins’ first DLC, The Trials of the Gods, arrives on Nov. 17. The DLC pits players against the Egyptian gods in boss battles during special timed events, rewarding with special loot for the victorious.

Final Fantasy XV’s Monsters of the Deep then launches soon after, taking the base game’s fishing mini-game to a whole new level. Another VR experience, Monsters of the Deep has players travel to different locations to fish, catch various types of sea creatures, and even cook the fish with the other members of Prince Noctis’s crew.

The last release of the month is Black Mirror, a reboot of the original 2004 point-and-click adventure game. The gothic-horror adventure is a new interpretation of the deeply atmospheric title, telling an all-new tale that won’t require players to have experienced the original. The game is not related to the popular Netflix show.
