The VIP pass of Forza Motorsport 7 is now worth owning after Turn 10 gave in to fan complaints.
Previously, owners of the $100-priced Forza Motorsport 7 Ultimate Edition or the $20-worth VIP pass were surprised when they discovered that the perk for the VIP pass was different from past entries. Instead of allowing players to earn double their in-game credits throughout the game’s lifetime, the VIP pass only entitled players to double their earnings for a total of 25 races. This change has aggravated many, considering credits is essential in unlocking new vehicles.
Thankfully, Turn 10 recently addressed concerns and gave a few decent bonuses to compensate players. “Over the weekend we heard loud and clear from Ultimate Edition owners expressing frustration over the VIP membership offer in Forza Motorsport 7,” studio head Alan Hartman announced on the game’s official website. “We immediately updated the VIP description in the Windows Store to alleviate any future confusion. As head of the studio, I apologize for any confusion or frustration our players may have experienced.”
With the change, VIP owners will soon get a permanent 2X base credit modifier. Starting today, VIP owners will also receive one million credits and four Forza Edition cars: 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE Project 7 Forza Edition, 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Forza Edition, 2017 Acura NSX Forza Edition, and 2010 Maserati Gran Turismo S Forza Edition.
