It was recently announced by Konami that it would be releasing a remaster of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. The news was first announced at the Tokyo Game Show and a short trailer was shown.
If you’re pumped for a remaster of the game then you’ll want to check out this extended game trailer released by Konami which shows off plenty of gameplay. The remaster will feature overhauled graphics, 4K resolution, remastered audio, and VR content through PlayStation VR and SteamVR.
It’s interesting to note that Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Running was produced by Hideo Kojima, the famed game creator who was in charge of the Metal Gear series under Konami. He and Konami parted ways in 2015 after a lot of turbulence and Konami went as far as to remove his name from the box art of the then recently released Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It will be interesting to see if his name is included on the credits for this remaster given that he was involved with the original. The game is set to be released on the PS4 and PC in the Spring of 2018.
