Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 servers will be down today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST for scheduled maintenance, according to developer Bungie.
No one will be able to log into either game during the maintenance period, and any player who remains logged in from before maintenance begins will be kicked from games and logged out at 11 a.m. EST. Bungie will update the game to version 220.127.116.11 during maintenance, and players will be prompted to accept this update when they log back in.
It’s possible Bungie will also remove the Kekistan flag-resembling armor piece during the maintenance period. Bungie announced plans to remove the armor from the game last week, but it remains in the game as of press time.
Coincidentally, the last time the Destiny 2 servers were down for maintenance was the same day Bungie made that announcement. That downtime also lasted four hours but occurred earlier in the morning.
Destiny 2 launched on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 6. A PC version is planned for October 24.
