Blizzard may still be enjoying the overwhelming success of the recent online shooter Overwatch, but it seems the famed company is not about to rest on its laurels. According to VG247, a recent job listing, which has since been pulled, has revealed Blizzard is currently working on a real-time strategy MMO game for mobile devices that runs on the Unity engine.
The ad listing, which has been archived on Icy Veins, reads:
“Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an experienced Unity mobile client engineer to work on an unannounced MMO RTS project.
“The ideal applicant has an unwavering passion for mobile development and solving engineering problems unique to mobile app environments.”
Other than this listing, details are scarce, but no doubt we can expect to learn more about the mobile game in the near future. Blizzard is best known for creating the world’s most popular MMO World of Warcraft, as well as other hit games such as Hearthstone, Starcraft, and of course, Overwatch. No doubt many fans of Blizzard’s past games will be eager to learn more about this upcoming mobile RTS.
