How to Get FROST CRYSTALS IN NO MAN’S SKY
Prior to the Atlas Rises 1.3 update, Frost Crystals were known as Coryzagen in No Man’s Sky. It is an exotic element that is used for making glass and is mined from the leaves of a hazardous plant called Frostwort.
You will find Frostwort on cold planets and moons colored shades of blue and purple, which represents sub-zero temperatures. It is a shimmering plant with a gemstone-like appearance. Because the plant is toxic, mining Frost Crystals is only possible wearing Haz-Mat Gauntlets. Note that the color of the actual star system is irrelevant as Frost Crystals can be found across anywhere as long as the planet/moon is cold.
It is possible to farm Frostwort to turn into Frost Crystals in No Man’s Sky via the use of the NPC farmer — a Gek NPC that can be hired once you have acquired an agricultural terminal. It takes approximately 15 minutes to farm each Frostwort this way in No Man’s Sky.
A harvested Frostwort plant is typically worth around 30 units, which is the amount required to make a single unit of glass.
