Always Use Your Strike

Tips and Tricks for Beginners of Matterfall

Your Strike (assigned to L1) is arguably the most important move you have at your disposal. Not only does it allow you to dash through the air or along the ground, but it also stuns enemies, preventing them from moving or firing at you.

This allows you to catch your breath and take care of any looming threats before they hit you and lower your multiplier. It’s also worth noting that your Strike also clears incoming projectiles that you can’t shoot down with your weapon. If you ever find your screen filling with projectiles and enemies, use Strike, it’ll make things a heck of a lot easier. If you stun an enemy with Strike before killing them in Matterfall, you’ll also get more score for the kill, making it crucial for anyone wanting to top the leaderboards.
