Gundam Versus open beta dates in the West have been announced by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
The test will allow players to play online in Player Match and Casual Match modes, in one vs. one, two vs. two, and three vs. three combinations. You’ll also be able to play Ultimate Battle mode and take part in 30 offline missions and 15 online missions. The beta will include one route for Trial Battle’s offline mode, access to Free Battle offline, a tutorial, and five music tracks.
You’ll be able to start preloading the Gundam Versus open beta starting on August 29, and play it from midnight PST September 2 to midnight September 4. Fans will get a chance to try out 94 Mobile Suits, and all available Striker units.
The Gundam franchise has been AWOL from the Western video game world (at least when it comes to consoles) for quite some time, and Gundam Versus looks like a great entry. The Mobile Suits are rendered beautifully, and I can’t wait to see how they handle in the beta.
This is a meaty open beta, and 48 hours is barely enough time to experience all that content. However, once the beta leaves you craving more, you’ll get a chance to play the full version of Gundam Versus on September 29.
