Games aren’t the only things that can get remastered. Well, of course, we knew that, but it’s always good to be reminded of that when some of our favorite films undergo the treatment. The newest remaster? Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy.
Everyone may be talking about Peter Parker right now, but it wasn’t long ago that DC ruled the day with Nolan’s depiction of Batman. Even with Batman Begins being over 10 years old (yes, it’s been over a decade now), fans of the films and of the masked vigilante still talk about the franchise constantly as being one of the best retellings of Bruce Wayne’s journey from billionaire playboy to expert crime fighter.
So with all of its popularity keeping the three films alive and well after many years, it doesn’t come as too much of a shock that they will soon be available in 4K. Especially given that a lot of us tech-inclined folks have setups to support HDR as well. However, there is still one question that remains. Where is Harvey Dent?
No, that’s not the question, obviously. The question is when. Christopher Nolan is personally overseeing the 4K remasters but hasn’t specified a date for when we can expect the new collection to release. But when they arrive, many a DC fan will surely rush out to buy them. You see, it’s not about the money. It’s about that beautiful high definition.
