In a lengthy gameplay trailer, Shadow of War receives some new updates in Microsoft’s E3 press conference. Two new features will help to shake up the gameplay from the original Shadow of Mordor game. This time around, players will be given the ability to recruit orcs to fight for their side, and will be able to choose which orc’s powers suit their needs in their future conquests. This will surely change up gamers’ strategies in how they choose to tackle their missions.
In the end of the trailer, Talion demonstrates this new recruiting technique by overpowering a giant orc and telling him that he serves a new master now. The orc, through some funny banter, mentions that he doesn’t care who he serves as long as it involves ripping spines out. Lovely. The trailer also showed off some brutal combat between two orcs in an arena battle, ending with one of the orcs twisting and ripping the head off of his opposition.
This latest reveal ended with the claim that there will be unlimited ways to conquer Mordor. We can’t wait to see how the new gameplay pans out when the game is released.
Shadow of War is the sequel to the smash hit original, Shadow of Mordor, which was nominated for Game of the Year. We hope that Shadow of War will be just as great, if not even better. You can see the new features and gritty action for yourself right here.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War will be released for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on October 10. The game will also be released for the newly named Xbox One X, formerly Project Scorpio.
