Tekken 7: How to Escape Throws and Grabs

How to Escape Throws and Grabs in Tekken 7

Recommended Videos

Tekken 7 is the latest in the iconic fighting series, and it (of course) brings back all of the fighting game techniques you know and love. There are combos, specials, throws, and, of course, throw escapes. Here’s how you can cancel grabs and escape them, before you’re thrown and lose some of your precious health bar. Just be quick about it!

This time around, escaping throws is very, very simple. You can execute a throw escape by simply hitting Square and X together, or Triangle and Circle together. Yes, these are the same buttons you use to grab enemies in the first place, so it should be pretty easy to remember. Either or combination will work for any grab, making it far easier to get out from the sticky situation than it might have been in the past. Bless 2017, right?

It’s always a smart tactic to escape the throw or cancel the grab. If you’re not quick enough, you will lose quite a bit of health and might even get a bit flustered in the match.

While you might not be entirely ready to wreck online, you at least know how to not get body slammed now. For more help with Tekken 7, be sure to check back to Twinfinite for guides and tips!
