Prey’s Materials Crafting Glitch Basically Breaks the Game

Prey’s Materials Crafting Glitch Basically Breaks the Game

Patch incoming?

It’s only been a few days, but players have already found a pretty game-breaking exploit in Prey that trivializes its difficulty. YouTuber Captain Eggcelent has discovered that you can essentially farm infinite crafting supplies, which can be used to create useful tools like weapons, ammunition, medkits, and even Neuromods to help the player learn all the skills available on the skill tree.

All you have to do is make use of the Recycler in Morgan’s office, dump your materials in there, split them into multiple piles to increase the harvest, and then let the Recycler do its job. This basically allows the player to have access to as much ammo and skill points as they want, and the game’s difficulty will become non-existent. Commenters on the YouTube video have also reported that the glitch works on PS4 and Xbox One as well.

Bethesda and Arkane Studios will likely be patching the exploit soon, so… get your Neuromods while you can?

Prey is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
