Pokemon GO has been out in the wild for quite some time now, but there’s still no sign of the three legendary bird Pokemon: Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos. However, all of that might change this summer. As reported by Nintendo Everything, Niantic marketing lead Archit Bhargava made a short award acceptance speech at the 21st Annual Webby Awards, where the mobile game won the award for, well, “Best Mobile Game.”
Bhargava simply stated: “This summer will be legendary.”
It’s pretty clear that those words were carefully selected, and given how players have gone nearly a year without any sign of the game’s legendary Pokemon, the time seems right for Niantic to finally release them.
The Pokemon GO hype has certainly died down quite a bit now, but the company has been rather diligent in organizing new events for players to engage in, allowing them more opportunities to catch new Pokemon and level up.
Pokemon GO is now available on iOS and Android devices.
