NBA Playgrounds: When You Can Play Online on Nintendo Switch

When You Can Play Online in NBA Playgrounds on Nintendo Switch

Recommended Videos

If you’ve picked up NBA Playgrounds on the Nintendo Switch today, you may have noticed that the game’s online mode is currently unavailable. While it’s true that the Nintendo Switch version is the only one that doesn’t have the ability to play online from today, that doesn’t mean that the mode is months away.

In fact, it’s quite the opposite. The news broke about NBA Playgrounds’ Switch version not having online play on day-one last week. While making the announcement, however, it was confirmed that these features would be added into the game via an update only a few days after launch.

It’s certainly disappointing that the mode couldn’t be prepared in time for day-one alongside the other platforms, but at least we don’t have too much longer to wait until we can play our friends and other fans online.

It’s worth noting that you can still play four-person local multiplayer on the Switch version of NBA Playgrounds in the meantime, so you’re not stuck playing on your own for the next few days.

Have you picked up NBA Playgrounds? Which console did you pick it up for? Let us know down in the comments below.
