Farpoint: How to Aim Down Sights

HOW TO AIM DOWN SIGHTS IN FARPOINT

Recommended Videos

Farpoint, the PlayStation VR exclusive first-person shooter from Impulse Gear, is out now and plays very differently to other games in the genre. As such, some players may be wondering how to aim down sights in Farpoint. Here’s what you need to know whether you’re playing with the Aim Controller or a standard DualShock 4.

Playing with the Aim Controller – the new PlayStation VR peripheral that comes bundled with Farpoint – doesn’t work in the same way as a standard controller, as you don’t aim down sights with a left trigger. Instead, you move the Aim Controller towards your face and close one eye to aim down the sights. You can look down the iron sights or down the laser sight of the assault rifle, where you’ll see a small red dot, as you would in any shooter. You have to be quite precise with your aiming, but moving the peripheral towards your face to do so feels very natural.

If you are playing with a DualShock 4, rather than an Aim Controller, then everything works in a similar way. To aim, you simply move the controller towards your eyes and shoot in the same way. It doesn’t feel as good as it does with the new controller but it’s certainly more immersive than when playing a standard shooter.
