Today at the Star Wars Celebration event, EA finally peeled back the curtain on Star Wars Battlefront II. While the game will still feature multiplayer, there’ll also be a story mode for the game, putting you in the view of the Empire, of all groups. Players will take on the role of Iden Versio just moments after the second Death Star has been destroyed in Return of the Jedi. (In the trailer, she and her elite Inferno Squad look up and see it be destroyed on Endor.)
Furious at their loss, Battlefront II’s story will span the course of 30 years and cover what happened between Jedi and Force Awakens as the remains of the Empire take revenge against the Rebellion. Iden and her squad are the focus, but Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren will make an appearance as well, and you’ll also be able to play as both of them throughout the campaign. (At the panel, EA stressed that this will be canon and a part of the overall Star Wars story.)
Star Wars Battlefront II will hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Nov. 17.
