SINoALICE is Square Enix’s latest mobile game, but what’s special about this one is that it’s being directed by Yoko Taro. Not to mention, NieR composer Keiichi Okabe will be handling the game’s music direction as well. Both are known for their work in the NieR and Drakengard series, and it’s definitely interesting to see what Taro manages to produce on the mobile platform.
Square Enix announced today that SINoALICE will be having a NieR: Automata collaboration crossover event. This isn’t really surprising, considering the fact that Yoko Taro directed Automata. Characters from Automata, including 2B, 9S, and A2, will make an appearance in the game as well. There will also be weapons from Automata featured in the mobile game, and they’ll come with original weapon stories, too.
In addition to that, the event will also include a special story scenario that’s being written by Taro itself, so NieR fans might want to keep this on their radar.
SINoALICE is set to be released on iOS and Android devices in Japan this spring, though there’s no word on whether the game will be coming west.
