Dying Light is one brand-new IP that really took the masses by surprise when it released back at the start of 2015. Prior to its release, nobody expected Dying Light would provide a perfect blend of parkour and zombie survival action. Yet, two years after its release, Dying Light definitely feels like one of the strongest newcomers this generation to turn into a full-fledged series.

After all, there’s no reason that the Dying Light formula couldn’t work in a completely different locale. Navigating futuristic cities amidst a zombie apocalypse, or more rural environments as we did in The Following expansion would be a great way to keep the action feeling fresh. Plus, with the implementation of buggies and new weapons, a Dying Light sequel could be even bigger and badder than its predecessor. Here’s hoping the story and mission structures could get an overhaul in the process, too.

There’s a good chance that Techland may already be working on a sequel, but for now, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
