How to get spicy peppers – Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Spicy peppers are but one of the many ingredients in Breath of the Wild, important for cooking regenerative and heat resistance food. These peppers have a particularly unique use, though, as they’re needed to complete the Old Man recipe. To help you do just that, we’ll walk you through how to get Spicy Peppers.

This resource can be most commonly harvested from plants around Breath of the Wild’s open world. These will look like bushes, with clear peppers hanging off of them. Interact with these to pick the peppers and add them to your inventory.

We’ve noticed Spicy Pepper plants showing up most often on the outskirts of cold areas within the game, though you can certainly find them elsewhere.

Once you’ve got your Spicy Peppers, you’ll just need Raw Meat and one other secret ingredient to complete the Old Man recipe: Raw Bass. You can find this fish in the ponds around the cabin in which you found the recipe. Combine the ingredients, return to the Old Man, and you’ll receive the highly useful Warm Doublet.

Now that you know how to get Spicy Peppers, be sure to check out our Breath of the Wild wiki for more tips, guides, and walkthroughs.
