Mass Effect Andromeda: How to Dash

How to Dash in Mass Effect Andromeda

Recommended Videos

Moving quickly is often very important in Mass Effect Andromeda. With all of the enemies out for your head, obstacles to overcome, and missions to embark on, you’ll find yourself steadily moving forward as fast as you can. Thankfully, there are ways to move even faster.

Sprinting allows you to run at a pretty reasonable speed, but sometimes you just gotta go faster (Sonic always had the right idea). You can actually use your Jump-jet to dash forward, which helps you close distances between Ryder (your player character) and enemies or to avoid a threat that’s coming at you from behind or up above. It’s a quick burst of speed that covers a decent amount of distance that you can continue sprinting after or use again after a couple of seconds.

In order to dash while playing, tap Circle on PS4 or B on Xbox One while holding up on the left thumbstick or not pressing any direction. Moving left, right, or backwards will only cause you to dodge in that respective direction rather than dash forward. It only takes a quick tap for you to get the nice burst of speed, and that’s it. Simple, right?
