Is Horizon Zero Dawn HDR/ 4K Compatible?

HDR and 4K Compatible – Horizon Zero Dawn

Recommended Videos

With Horizon Zero Dawn just a couple of weeks away from its Feb. 28 release, it should come as no surprise that the game has looked stunning in the trailers and screenshots we’ve seen so far. Of course, with the game looking as great as it does, many will be wondering if they can enhance its visual fidelity even further with 4K and HDR.

Players will be pleased to know that Horizon Zero Dawn is both HDR and 4K compatible. While HDR will be available for all PS4 owners, those who want to display Horizon Zero Dawn in 4K will need to have a compatible TV as well as Sony’s PS4 Pro.

Confirmation of this comes via a post on PlayStation Blog where Guerrilla Games’ Technical Director, Martin van der Leeuw, detailed how the game would both look and run on the PS4 Pro. It’s worth noting that van der Leeuw made a point of confirming that the game will still look beautiful on the PS4, but will just look even better on the PS4 Pro.

Will you be playing Horizon Zero Dawn in HDR and 4K? Feel free to let us know down in the comments below.
