How Long Is Halo Wars 2?
Halo Wars 2 is the latest entry in Microsoft’s long-running series, this time developed by 343 Studios and the Creative Assembly. Much like the first game, it offers a sizable single player campaign on top of a host of different multiplayer options. Although the multiplayer is the big focus here, you’ll be spending a fair amount of time in single player as well, so naturally you’ll probably wonder how long it is.
Halo Wars 2 has 12 separate campaign missions, that can each be played on four difficulty levels; Easy, Normal, Heroic, and Legendary. Your first time through, playing each mission to completion should take roughly five hours. They aren’t incredibly long or complex missions, although each one usually has a unique design to it. This hour count will increase, of course, depending on what difficulty you play on and how many additional objective you choose to complete.
Each mission has a number of Optional Objectives and Bonus Objectives to complete, that reward you with a better score. These can be various things like taking out particular enemies or not letting certain units die. Obviously, if you want to complete all of these objectives, it’s going to take you a little longer to complete Halo Wars 2.
Regardless of how long Halo Wars 2’s campaign is to complete, it’s a good idea to complete at least a portion of it before jumping into multiplayer, as it’ll help you learn the ropes and the strengths of each unit.
