Resident Evil 7 has an upcoming piece of DLC called Not A Hero; Capcom has confirmed that it will star series’ stalwart Chris Redfield.

The confirmation was broken on the official Resident Evil Twitter account, where it was announced, “Chris Redfield returns in the free “Not A Hero” DLC for #RE7 this Spring. Who or what is he chasing? Find out soon in this separate story.”

At the end of Resident Evil 7’s story, there was a bit of a double reveal. On the one hand a character referred to in-game as “Redfield” assisted the player, and after the credits rolled, there was a separate title screen teasing his return in the Not A Hero DLC.

This lead to much fan speculation as to whether or not this character was indeed the Chris Redfield  from the series’ past, or some sort of imposter.

There hasn’t been a specific release date for the DLC confirmed, just that it will be here in Spring.
