CI Games’ Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 will be getting an open beta on PC starting early next month.
The news came via the official Sniper Ghost Warrior Twitter account, confirming the beta will begin on Feb. 3 and also linking to where players can register. For those who are interested in jumping into the stealthy action on PC, follow the link here, enter your email address, and accept the terms and conditions. It’s worth noting that the beta will only be available on Steam, so if you’re not signed up with the popular PC client just yet, you might want to get all set up prior to Feb. 3.
You can register for the beta at any time up until it commences on Feb. 3, and access codes will be emailed out on the same day. Unfortunately, Xbox One and PS4 owners will miss out on the beta, though they will be able to play the full game once it releases on April 4.
Players who register for the beta will gain access to two missions on Steam. You can check out the official descriptions for each of them below.
Cut Off: The Separatists control a large antenna array, which lets them use satellites to track enemy movements and communicate with distant outposts. Jon needs to infiltrate this compound and manually reposition the dishes to intercept the satellite signal. Gaining access to enemy communications would give Jon and his team a tactical advantage over the enemy, as well as possible intel on his brother, Robert.
Blockout: Jon’s cooperation with the local resistance, the Rotki Lions, gave him the location of one of the targets from his Most Wanted list – a list containing the names of war criminals that Jon can neutralize to bring justice to the people of Georgia. The target is Ivan Krustchev. He’s hiding out in an abandoned apartment complex, surrounded by his guards. How will you complete this mission? Will you use your sniper rifle from the opposite building, storm the outpost with your assault rifle, or sneak past the guards and quietly take out your target?
