CS:GO – How to Change Your Crosshair

Counter Strike: Global Offensive is riddled with ways to customize the game in order to better suit the players. One of the largest customization features it has is the ability to change and tune your crosshair any way you like. It can seem a little confusing on how to do this, but don’t worry, we’re here to show you how.

There are two ways to change your crosshair in Counter Strike: Global Offensive. The first way is rather simple and provides a small selection of well-crafted crosshairs that can do you well in most situations. First, you’ll have to go into the Options menu and then into Game Settings. In Game Settings, you’ll see a section dedicated to changing your HUD, with the first two options allowing the player to alter their crosshair. The first will change the crosshair’s style (how it moves and changes when firing a weapon) and the second will switch the crosshair’s color.

The second option is more complex, but allows the player total control when creating the perfect crosshair. This requires access to the developer console, so you’ll have to enable that in the Game Settings menu as well. While in-game, open up the console. There is a long list of commands that change the crosshair, but below, we’ve included the most important ones:

cl_crosshairalpha
cl_crosshaircolor
cl_crosshaircolor_b
cl_crosshaircolor_r
cl_crosshaircolor_g
cl_crosshairdot
cl_crosshairgap
cl_crosshairsize
cl_crosshairstyle
cl_crosshairusealpha
cl_crosshairthickness
cl_fixedcrosshairgap
cl_crosshair_outlinethickness
cl_crosshair_drawoutline

You’ll most likely have to play around with the numbers in order to find the perfect values for each command. Alternatively, we definitely suggest checking out the crosshair generator here, as you can visually see what the crosshair looks like while creating it. You can even copy and paste the console commands when you are finished.
