Indie darling Inside is off to a good start at The Game Awards 2016. It received a twofer shortly into the event, winning the awards for Best Indie and Best Art Direction. Created by the makers of Limbo, it released initially on the Xbox One back in June to overwhelming critical acclaim. It received praise for being a puzzle platformer that not only had compelling gameplay, but was also arresting visually.
Both of the categories were stacked with great choices, making victory that much sweeter. Inside still has a shot at The Game Awards premiere award, Game of the Year. It’s up against heavy hitters such as Uncharted 4, Overwatch, Doom, and Titanfall 2.
