How to Land – Steep
Pulling off tricks as you make your way down the mountains of Steep is great fun and can look pretty impressive, but if you don’t land it, you won’t get any points. Therefore, you’ll want to learn all of the ins and outs of landing in Steep to ensure you top the leaderboard.
Landing requires you to orient your skis or board to the correct position for a smooth end to your trick. To do this, you’ll want to ensure that when you’re pulling off a trick and spinning or turning in the air, that you’re making sure your board or skis are straight as you’re hitting the snow. If you’re off at an angle, chances are you’re going to be hitting the ground face first.
If you find yourself slightly off-center, you can correct quickly by using the right stick. However, do keep in mind that this isn’t always the best option as it’s easier to over correct and end up failing your landing, too.
The most important thing you need to take into account when you’re trying to land in Steep, however, is the angle of the ground you’re landing on. If you’re going to land on flat ground, chances are you’re not going to pull it off. Instead, you’ll need to factor in the angle of the ground that you’re landing on. Finding the best places to pull off tricks with a safe and steady slope for you to land on is imperative to success when trying to land your tricks.
