Uncharted fans were given a treat during the recent PlayStation Experience when it was revealed that a standalone DLC called Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be released next year. The great looking trailer revealed the main character will be series favorite Chloe Frazer, who’s teamed up with A Thief’s End’s antagonist Nadine Ross.
In a new post on the official PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog’s creative director Shaun Escayg explained why Chloe Frazer seemed like the obvious choice for the main character of Uncharted: Lost Legacy.
“Over the years, we’ve assembled an incredible cast of characters, but of them all, we kept coming back to one in particular: Chloe Frazer. As the smooth-talking master thief who debuted in Uncharted 2, Chloe is not only one of our favorite characters, but we know she’s a favorite amongst our community. She’s also a strong and enigmatic character — in other words, perfect to be our lead protagonist in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.”
Chloe will be teaming up with Nadine, who Naughty Dog also feels is a great character to have working alongside Chloe.
“Much like Chloe, Nadine is a formidable and interesting character whose complex nature we just started exploring in her Uncharted 4 debut. She’s a skilled tactician, whose cool, calculating nature offers an important contrast to Chloe’s improvisation and wit. As they venture deep into India’s Western Ghats mountain range, they’ll need to work together to recover the long lost Tusk of Ganesh.”
As mentioned earlier, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be standalone DLC expansion and will not require players to own Uncharted 4 to play it. It will be released physically on store shelves and digitally sometime next year. We can’t wait for our next adventure!
