Koei Tecmo has just released a new gameplay video for Nioh. However, they’re not showing off combat and environments this time around. Instead, they’re showing off a cutscene of a conversation between Tokugawa Ieyasu and the main protagonist, who was based on real-life historical sailor William Adams. You can check out the new cutscene down below.
For those who may not be aware, Ieyasu was the first shogunate of the Tokugawa era, and it’s clear that he’ll be playing a fairly big role in the game, along with other figures like Hattori Hanzo. The character’s interactions with him will likely shape the game’s story and journey, and it should ultimately be pretty interesting to see how Team Ninja handles the historical aspect of Nioh, along with the more fantastical and supernatural side of the game.
Nioh is set to be released exclusively for the PS4 on February 7 in North America, and on February 8 in Europe. What are your thoughts on the game so far? Feel free to let us know in the comments down below.
