The most badass Bug around these parts.

Pokemon Sun and Moon – Catching Wimpod and Golisopod

Recommended Videos

So you’ve fought Team Skull boss Guzma and are wondering how on earth you can get your hands on that sweet-looking Bug type Pokemon Golisopod? Well, in order to get Golisopod, you need to catch Wimpod, which is its wimpy, less badass first form. Before you do this, make sure to save your game as the Pokemon can run away from you, ruining your one chance to catch it.

Head to Route 8, and go downwards from the Poke Center. Get onto your Tauros Poke Ride and look for the gravel area near the bottom. You should see a Pokemon sprite hanging out on the gravel. If you just try to run towards it, the sprite will get away from you. The Tauros Poke Ride’s Charge ability will let you catch up to it. Simply charge towards the sprite, and you’ll enter a fight with Wimpod. Do note that if you try to attack it, Wimpod will escape. Use a Quick Ball on your first turn to try to capture it. If it fails and the Pokemon runs off, just reload your save and try again.
