How to Wonder Trade – Pokemon Sun and Moon

Recommended Videos

In Pokemon Sun and Moon, as in X and Y and OR/AS, you can participate in a unique type of trade called Wonder Trade. The way that Wonder Trade is different than a normal trade is that you offer a Pokemon that you’re willing to part with, and then you’re paired with someone in the world at random, and finally receive whatever Pokemon they were willing to part with. So unlike normal trading, you don’t know what you’re going to get until the trade is already complete. More often than not, it leads to a getting a bunch of low level Pokemon, but sometimes, if you’re lucky, you can get something really special.

In order to Wonder Trade in Pokemon Sun and Moon, you need to first access the Festival Plaza and do the first couple of quests for Sophocles until you have access to the bottom screen. From there, you can access the internet by clicking the WiFi symbol. After that, click trade, and you’ll have the option to Wonder Trade. Pick a Pokemon you won’t mind never seeing again, offer it up to trade, and hope for the best!
