NieR: Automata Collaborating With Final Fantasy XV to Feature an In-Game Weapon

Weapon Story included.

NieR: Automata will have a collaboration with Final Fantasy XV, and players will get to wield the Engine Blade in the game. The Engine Blade is a one-handed sword that Noctis uses in Final Fantasy XV, and the Automata protagonist YoRHa will get to equip it. There will also be a Weapon Story of some sort, so it’s probably safe to assume that there will be some side quest to go along with obtaining the Engine Blade. Either way, it’s nice news for Final Fantasy fans hoping to check out this game.

Final Fantasy XV will also be featuring some sort of NieR collaboration as well, but we don’t have any details on what that will be just yet.

Final Fantasy XV is set to be released for the PS4 and Xbox One on November 29. NieR: Automata will be coming to PS4 and PC in early 2017, though we don’t have a firm release date for North America just yet. We’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way.
