Base Spells
Base spells are your Blizzard, Fire, and Thunder, without any added special effects. These require nothing more than the elemental energies you gather from around the world.
Blizzard/Blizzara/Blizzaga – You will need to have a mixture that is mostly ice to make this spell. You can use fire and lightning to boost the potency, but just make sure that the amount never exceeds that of ice. Ice seems to be relatively effective against most enemies. Even if it doesn’t do a ton of damage, it does help with slowing them down.
Fire/Fira/Firage – Same principle as the other spells. As long as fire energy is used more than any other, you’ll have a spell capable of burning your opponents. Most fleshy monsters will hate this stuff, unless they live in an already hot area.
Thunder/ Thundara/Thundaga – You should know the drill by now. Make sure that lightning is the prominent energy being used in your spell and you’ll end up with one of these. They’re great against machine-types and most flying enemies.
Unicast – Unicast is a random spell. It will randomly cast any of the elements at the corresponding potency level, which may not be very useful against enemies with very specific weaknesses. To craft one of these odd consumables, combine equal parts of all three elements.
As you can see, crafting the basic spells is quite simple, but things can become really tricky once you start throwing in catalysts and creating altered spells that cause a world of trouble for either your enemies or yourself.
