Battlefield 1 is available a week early for EA Access Members and fans of the series are already expecting to find a ton of easter eggs in the game. The first easter egg, that has already been discovered is the hilarious Kolibri Pistol also referred to as the “tiny pistol.” To be clear, this pistol is indeed an in-game weapon that can be used against your enemies. It was first discovered by YouTuber Jackfrags, and it is a serious sight to behold.
It turns out that this Easter egg is actually based on a real life weapon. It was created by a watchmaker in the early 1900’s, right before the start of World War 1. The fact that it’s made its way into the game is fitting, but not surprising.
DICE is very well known for packing tons of hidden easter eggs within their games. For example in Battlefield 4, if you gather ten people around the Buoy area on the Niansha Strike map, you will trigger the large Megalodon Shark that dives out of the water. This is only one example, but there are tons of easter eggs hidden across all Battlefield games.
