Last week, Blizzard once again captured the hearts and minds of the Overwatch playerbase with a huge Halloween themed update, complete with a range of new costumes, voice-lines, poses and intros for the game’s character roster.
The reception to the update has been overwhelmingly positive, but one player requested if Blizzard could make a particular tweak to the character of Mercy and, staying true to their form, the studio has already responded.
In a post on the Overwatch forums, user “C3ck” made a petition asking if Mercy’s new voice-line, in which she says “My Servants Never Die” when dressed in her new witch attire, could be brought to the PvP content in the game, and activated whenever the character performs her ultimate ability.
Currently, Mercy only makes this remark when she appears as an AI-controlled boss in the Junkenstein’s Revenge co-op mode, which is available as a bonus brawl experience for the Halloween event.
After getting over 1000 upvotes on the forums, Overwatch’s Game Director, responded to the petition with a short but sweet comment that reads “Ok. ETA mid-Nov.”
The Overwatch Halloween Terror event is currently live on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and will run till November 1st next month.
