The official release of WWE 2K17 is just a few weeks away and now we have details about what those who buy the season pass for the DLC can expect to get for their money. As always, players can purchase the DLC in bits and pieces, or they can get buy the season pass for $29.99 and get everything offered, usually earlier than those who buy in bits and pieces.
WWG is reporting paying that $30 price tag will get users the Accelerator, Future Stars Pack, Hall of Fame Showcase, Legends Pack, and New Moves Pack. So what does all this content do? The Accelerator doesn’t specifically offer new content but allows users to purchase all kinds of content outside of DLC that people normally need to advance their characters in order to get access to.
The Future Stars Pack does have new content in the form of more playable wrestlers. Austin Aries, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Mojo Rawley and Tye Dillinger, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, Eddie Guerrero, Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, Sycho Sid, and Tatanka will all be part of WWE 2K17 when that pack launches.
The Hall of Fame Showcase pack brings some of the biggest and most famous matches to the lineup. These matches include but aren’t limited to Ivory vs. Jacqueline that took place in SmackDown 2000. There is also a couple of matches starring the Fabulous Freebirds and Sting as well as others.
The final piece of the WWE 2K17 season pass is the MyPlayer Kick Start. This unlocks all the different features that allow players to change and customize their character. Purchased separately, these DLC packs run anywhere from $4.99 to $9.99 and would total $43. In other words, you’ll be saving about $13 if you buy the season pass. Perhaps the most frustrating part of the announcement of this season pass is that there is quite a bit of DLC planned to launch outside it.
WWE 2K17 launches for PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 11 but an official release date for the first DLC pack has not been announced.
