The Tomorrow Children does feature a multiplayer component, but it’s a little cryptic. You’ll occasionally see the outlines of other projection clones (other players), but they’ll only be visible when they’re about to complete an action like building a cannon or other items. Other projection clones can also help you out by building roads and paths, making it easier for you to transport resources from one town to the next.

For now, it looks like projection clones will only be able to interact with each other through a small selection of emotes, and only when their outlines are visible in your game. It’s also worth noting that each player only has three backpack slots, so gathering up a huge amount of resources from a mine and bringing them back to town on your own isn’t exactly feasible. You’ll have to depend on the outlines of these other projection clones and hope that they help you out with transporting the resources as well. When mining rocks, these projection clones can also mine the same item as you to make the process go a lot smoother and faster. You’ll then be able to exchange an emote of gratitude once the job has been done. Players will also be able to change outfits and alter their appearances to distinguish themselves from other projection clones you might encounter along the way.

Whether you can team up with your friends to travel around the areas and working together isn’t clear yet.
